Why Alpha?

November 10th, 2011

So why go Alpha over the competition? A lot of the drivers nowadays are all technologically similar, as once one company figures something out, the others copy it. Alpha, on the other hand, has their own team of researchers and analysts that develop their own technology.  And, the proof is in the pudding. Accuracy and stability take priority, but distance is never overlooked.

There’s more to it then just an accurate driver or fast hitting irons. Alpha puts a lot of emphasis into making a pretty golf club. Take a look at a Black V5LX if you don’t want to take my word for it.

Why go V5LX?

October 17th, 2011

Because you’re looking for something better in a golf club.  Alpha golf’s V5LX driver is a different kind of driver. It may take a couple hits to get the hang of it, especially if you’re used to hitting cheaper drivers. The first thing you will notice is the sound at impact.  Lots of the new drivers have that pingy, hollow sound when making a connection.  But the V5LX has more of a smashing sound.  Don’t believe me?  Go to the range and see for yourself.  You will here everybody else clinking their drivers around, and then when you smash yours you will instantly know the difference.

One thing to keep in mind though, with the V5LX you will have a higher ball flight, with a lower spin.  Some of the higher launch shafts may not be the best way to go.  Also, if you find yourself to be a generally higher trajectory golfer, the V5LX may not be the way to go.  If that’s the case, you’d want to use a C830.4 instead.

New Alpha Launch Drivers

October 10th, 2011

Alpha Golf is following up its success with the V5 LX with two new drivers hitting the market. The Alpha RSP Launch and the Alpha RX Launch. Both feature Optimal Spin Control technology which maximizes forgiveness. However, the biggest thing that has people turning their heads is the MOI of these two new drivers. Both have a very high MOI, the RSP Launch as a normal driver and the RX Launch as an offset.

But what exactly is MOI? Moment of Inertia. What it really means is the amount of energy transferred at contact. What it means for you is increased consistency. However, high MOI drivers do have a set back. You won’t win any long drive contests with a high MOI driver. But, when you get to those tight par 4 holes where you need to split the fairway to stay in the game, you’ll be happy you chose to go with the RSP/RX Launch driver from Alpha. Accuracy is always you first priority over distance on the course. And you can’t go wrong with a high MOI driver.
